The European Congress of Virology is the premier virology conference in Europe and is organized by the European Society for Virology (ESV). ECV2016 will bring together both junior and senior scientists, and will cover all aspects of virus research including basic, clinical, veterinary and plant virology. The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg is Germany’s principal port and a centre of maritime and aviation industries, as well as a hub of commerce, media and science. Above all, Hamburg is a city of hospitality and openness, characterized by its extraordinary diversity and tolerance. The venue of ECV2016, the Congress Center Hamburg (CCH), is located in the city centre, within easy reach of numerous hotels of all categories.
