A shallow profile TL5 surface luminaire suitable for
installation onto all ceiling types - both suspended and those
of solid construction.
S p e c ific a tio n
Manufactured to comply with BS EN60598-2-1:
Specification for fixed general purpose luminaires.
The clean uncomplicated design of the Provost range is
particularly suited to modern commercial interiors.
CE marked in accordance with Low Voltage and
Electromagnetic Compatibility Directives.
A range of louvre options are available including a low
brightness fir-tree cross-blade variant and wedge cross-blade
types in various finishes.
Available for use with high efficiency (HE) or high
output (HO) TL5 lamps
Standard control gear is electronic and suitable for use
on 230V 50Hz mains supply. Electronic control gear is
tested to EN60928, EN60929, EN55015, EN61000-3-2
& EN61547.
Louvre optics are fixed using shoot-bolt assemblies
providing a reliable mechanical fixing method yet allowing
simple removal for maintenance.
Heat resistant lamp holders comply with the
specifications of EN60238, EN60400 & EN60838.
Internal wiring is PVC insulated to BS6141: 1991.
All variants are fitted with warm start high frequency
electronic control gear providing flicker free illumination
and best possible lamp operating characteristics.
Provost TL5 luminaires are manufactured from 1.0mm
CR4 steel and post-painted in high gloss white epoxy
polyester powder coat.
High frequency dimming options are also available
incorporating Touch Dim, 1-10V analogue or DALI digital
control systems. Daylight dimming, infrared remote control
and presence detection systems can also be included in either
stand-alone or grouped configurations.
Mains connection is via a push wire terminal block.
Terminal block has capacity for 2 x 2.5mm2 incoming
supply cables.
To ensure the highest standards of reliability, all
luminaires are fully tested prior to dispatch.
All options can be factory fitted with a self contained threehour maintained emergency pack to provide emergency
illumination in the event of a mains supply failure.
