LUSCOMBE 8A N1134 MODEL: 8A (Metal wings/wing tanks) YEAR: 1947 AIRFRAME TOTAL TIME: 1725.3 hrs. (Tach and total appear to be the same) POWERPLANT: Continental A 75 ENGINE TIME SINCE MAJOR OVERHAUL: 233.3 hrs. ( Powerplant converted to A75 at the overhaul) PROPELLER: McCauley 1A90 Approximately 10.3 hrs. since overhaul. History Aircraft sustained cowl and gearbox damage in a nose over. No Prop damage. Restoration has dragged out over many years with some cabin skin fitted and several new parts purchased to include: windscreen, cowl skins, doorpost bulkheads, cabin belly skin, instrument panel, lower gear legs. Aircraft is mounted in a fuselage jig. (Jig goes with the aircraft) Major Parts Included L&R Wings Wing struts Ailerons Vertical stab Horizontal stab Rudder Elevator Damaged engine cowling (new skins included-Univair) Interior seats Doors Floor pan Rudder pedals and control sticks chromed Instrument panel (old and new from Univair) Instrument cluster with original Luscombe airspeed indicator New doorpost bulkheads (Univair) Battery box Airlite 6 VDC wind driven generator (can’t find prop) Original wheel pants Brakes New lower gear legs (Univair), jack struts, oleo assembly, spring and piston tube assembly (Not the Silflex design gear) Engine A75 Continental Engine mount (chromed) Exhaust system Mags Carb and airbox Propeller and spinner Firewall (chromed) Miscellaneous fairings, engine baffles, sheet metal cabin pieces etc. Logs and some CAA and FAA 337s, Illustrated Parts Manual, old paperwork and bills. Extras After 45 years, the owner is getting out of the business of aircraft restoration and has numerous parts and pieces from lots of different aircraft that go with the Luscombe as part of the price. He who buys it gets it all. Parts include 4 each rebuildable T-craft wings, one set ailerons, horizontal stab, elevator, rudder, old mags and mag parts, carb, fuel injection pieces from Continental, hydraulic parts, complete sets of brakes, 2 sets of new struts (Aeronca?), carb air boxes, oil tank, wobble pump, Cessna axles for 337. Too many to list. $10,000 OBO takes it all!
