Once again our school will be joining forces with
Eastwood Baptist Church to hold our own ‘5k Race for
Life’ family day on Saturday 13th June on the school field.
As you are no doubt aware, the Cancer Research charity
arranges many races in different locations all across the
country to help raise awareness and support to help
fund the next big discovery in the fight against cancer.
If you are interested in joining us for a fun family day
please register with Mrs Basher and Mrs Pike who will be
at the Infant Playground shelter each Tuesday and
Thursday from 3.15-4.00pm. Registration is only £5 per
person taking part, supporters are free!
Eco Group Assembly
Well Done!
We would like to say a BIG
well done to our Eco Group
who presented the work
they have been doing to the
rest of the school in
assembly, on Thursday. The
group meet fortnightly and
have been busy saving
energy and looking at ways
in which the school can
become more sustainable.
On Tuesday 21st and
Thursday 23rd April our
netball team took part in
tournaments held at Earls
Hall School and at Garons
Park, playing teams from
various schools around the
Borough. The children
represented the school
extremely well playing with
great determination.
Well done to all who
took part!
AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS - REMINDER
We contacted parents last term regarding absence
from after school clubs. In order to safeguard our
pupils it is imperative that when your child is unable
to attend a club, you notify the school office.
Registers are monitored and missing children will
need to be accounted for before clubs can
commence. Information received early will ensure a
prompt start and provide children full use of time in
their activity.
