Collect choir skirt at lunchtime on Wednesday from F12. Collect rehearsal schedule at practice on Tuesday. All Silver CREST meeting SP2 Tomorrow lunchtime (GHA) Could all students in years 11,12 and 13 who are already working on a Silver CREST project or have expressed an interest in doing a project this year please come and see me for a quick meeting in SP2 on Tuesday 24th during lunchtime. Mrs Ghanim All Maths League is here! L7 Wednesday lunchtime (STL) Maths League is a new FREE maths competition for senior students (years 11, 12 and 13). Sit a 25 minute competition in L7 Wednesday lunchtime on the last week of every month and compete for prizes. Come at the beginning of lunch time and bring a calculator. All Chess Club D17 Tue 17 Mar (ROB) Today (ROL) Monday and Tuesday Lunchtimes D17. Monday is for competitive and more advanced players. Mr Green is tutoring. Tuesday- all players welcome. All Orienteering Secondary Schools Teams RelaySP1 Anyone interested in competing in this event should come to SP1 at the start of lunchtime today to collect information about the event and a permission slip. You do not need to have competed in earlier events to enter. It is open to anyone who wishes to have a go. It will be held on Thursday 30th April. Get a group of 4-6 friends together and come on Monday 23rd March to A2 at lunchtime with $5 to sign up. The best entries are usually based on famous paintings, so be ambitious! Arts/Cultural STAGE CHALLENGE: Old gym Tomorrow interval (zRAM) The list for all the girls that have got in to stage challenge as a dancer and for set and costume and makeup are now up in the old gym. This Tuesday at interval there will be a meeting for all the girls that got in in the old gym. General A2 ALL FORM CLASS ART& CULTURE CAPTAINS: Today lunchtime (zRAM) There will be a meeting in A2 on Monday 23rd March at lunchtime for Arts & Culture form class leaders of all year levels for a tutorial on how to grid up a painting for pavement art. D23 Wednesday lunchtime (zRAM) To celebrate the amazing work produced in Term 1. we are having a shared lunch and movie this Wednesday 25th March. Remember to bring snacks and finger foods to accompany the movie, Mean Girls. Sports Trampolining Stadium Wednesday Lunchtime (RCC) Any students who would like to be involved in the EGGS Trampoline team this year need to come to an important meeting upstairs in the stadium on Wednesday 25 March. If you cannot make this meeting for any reason, please see Miss Richardson in the PE office. Thanks Sports LIFESAVING SING-UPS: Outside the pool Today lunchtime (zRAM) If you are interested in joining or returning to the sport of Lifesaving this year, please come to a meeting on Monday 23rd March outside the pool. No experience is required. Sports SOCIAL HOCKEY-LAST CHANCE! Sports office Tomorrow (zRAM) If you are interested in Social Hockey, collect a permission slip from the sports office and return it by Tuesday 24th March. No late entries will be allowed. Sports SELF MANAGING NETBALL: sports office Today (zRAM) Sports (VAU) Forms for self-Managing netball teams are now available from the sports office. Sports Table Tennis Students who signed up to play table tennis but did not attend Thursday's meeting must get a permission slip from Mrs Vaughan in D22, Ms Walker in R4 or student captain Doris Zhang. Forms and payment must be returned by Friday 27th March to confirm your place in a team. Sports BADMINTON FUN SESSION: Sports staduim Tomorrow lunchtime (zRAM) For any girls interested in learning a thing or two from one of the head coaches of Auckland Badminton, there is a fun badminton session running on Tuesday 24th and the following week on Wednesday 1st in the sports stadium at lunchtime. Signup sheets are on the boards in the stadium and numbers are limited to 30 per session, so get in quick! Also don't forget to get PE gear. General Notices All MATHS HELP All (SPE) Come to D7 at lunchtimes on Tuesdays or Wednesdays for help with Maths at any level. All welcome. It's a good place to eat your lunch and get your homework done. All Art students All (DEM) All 2014 Folio boards from 2014 year 11 and 12 Art students must be collected within the next two weeks. If your work is a 'benchmark' or you have been asked to loan it to the department as a resource you will be notified. Thank you. Art teachers! THE YEAR 11 ART boards are now down near the lockers / notice board in the art stairwell. Collect ASAP!!! Thank you Careers Victoria University Career Talk Careers (RIG) Year 13s - Victoria University of Wellington will here on Monday 23 March in period 3 in DSO and at lunchtime and DSO (for those with a class in period 3). Please come along for an overview of what they have to offer. Careers Dunedin Tertiary Info Day 28 April Careers (RIG) Year 13s - Tuesday 28 April is the Dunedin Tertiary Information Day for Otago University and Otago Polytechnic. You (and your family) would need to make your own arrangements to attend this Day (the day after Anzac Day). Otago University will also be visiting school on Mon 20 April (first day back of term 2). Saturday 28th March, 10am in the Kiwi Room at Equip Health Trust, 550 East Coast Road, Mairangi Bay. www.culturalcare.com.au Careers Victoria University of Wellington Careers (zYOU) Sports (zWIL) Yr 13 - Victoria University of Wellington will be in DSO, Period 3 today. Sports Basketball Trials U15 U15 Trials on the friday 27th cancelled. You will now only be trialling on the last day of term Thursday 2nd April Sports U15 Hockey Trial Sports (zHUR) The U15 hockey trial scheduled for Tuesday 24th March will now be on WEDNESDAY 25th March, 4.00-5.00pm. Sports Hockey Umpiring Sports (zHUR) Auckland Secondary Schools Hockey Association are looking for girls who are interested in becoming hockey umpires - you do not need to have umpired before. An experienced umpire will coach and mentor girls on a Monday or Tuesday night, where trainees will umpire the Under 15 grade games. Once trainees have reached a reasonable standard there is an opportunity to be reimbursed for umpiring secondary school games. Please come to the Sports Office to collect a registration forms.
