FINAL CALL FOR POSTERS AND MOVIES
Energize GasTerra Awards 2015
In the context of the Energize Festival 2015 – The Value of Waste, Hanze University of
Applied Sciences and GasTerra are organising a contest for students of Minerva Art
Academy: the Energize GasTerra Awards 2015.
The awards
Audience award of € 2,000.—
> The audience award will be announced in the media and is open to voting to everyone who
visits the exhibition between Thursday 4 June (18.00 hours) and Saturday 6 June 2015 (21.00
hours).
Professional jury award of € 3,000.-> The professional jury will be appointed by Anne Nigten, professor of Art & Sustainability of
Hanze University of Applied Sciences and consists of five members (one from GasTerra, two
from Minerva Art Academy and two external professionals). The jury will decide with a
majority of votes, all members of the jury have one equal vote.
How to participate
Who: BA and MA students from Minerva Art Academy
What: Show (in images) & Tell (in English) the way in which artistic or design research into
the value of waste helped your art or design project.
>Which questions did you ask, how did you find answers, how did you translate these
answers into your project?
Extra: A suggestion about spending the award money in a future project combining art &
sustainability.
How: In a poster or one-minute-movie
>PDF (29,7 x 84 cm/ double sided) or Quicktime

Exhibition
All submissions for the Energize GasTerra Awards will be included in the exhibition of the
Energize Festival (4-5-6 June 2015).
The winners will be announced during the closing event of the festival on Saturday 6 June at
22.15 hours.
The ten best submissions will be part of the permanent collection of the Energize Festival.
