Class 1. MINI PAIRS
50 cm approx. (1'9"). May be led or assisted. The course will be in one field and
roped, perfect for first time hunter trailers. To be judged on an optimum time of 300
mpm. Horses and riders may compete more than once but with a different pair.
ENTRY FEE £18 per pair
Class 2. MINI INDIVIDUALS
Same course and conditions as with Class1.
ENTRY FEE £9
To NOT start before 11.30am
Class 3. MIDI PAIRS
75 cm approx. (2'6") course will run over several fields and competitors may not
be led or assisted. To be judged on an optimum time of 435 mpm.
ENTRY FEE £24 per pair
Class 4. MIDI INDIVIDUALS
Same course and conditions as with Class 3.
ENTRY FEE £12
2.30 pm Parade of the East Sussex and Romney Marsh Hounds and the
Runners in the Scurry
3 pm THE SCURRY OF EAST SUSSEX
3.30 pm approx. Hunter Trials resume
Class 5. MAXI PAIRS
100cm approx. (3'3") and will include some of the smaller natural hedges jumped
in the Scurry. To be judged on an optimum time of 500 mpm.
ENTRY FEE £30 per pair
Class 6. MAXI INDIVIDUALS
Same course and conditions as with Class 5.
ENTRY FEE £15
TERRIER RACING WILL BE RUN BETWEEN NOON AND 2pm in front of the
house and near the public bar and refreshments.
INFORMATION
• Prizes - All individuals / pair combinations jumping clear and within
5 seconds above or below the optimum time will receive an equal
first rosette. Championship rosettes will be awarded to the pair
closest to but under the optimum time. Clear round rosettes for
all other clear rounds not placed equal first.
• All entries are to be sent to the Event Secretary, cheques should
be made payable to ESRM Hunt.
• Entries close Tuesday, 30 March. Entries on the day will only be
taken if the class is not full. Late entries will be charged £5 extra
per class. Refunds will only be given if a doctor or veterinary
certificate is produced.
• Online entries are available at www.esrmclub.co.uk.
• Entries for the Terrier Racing will be taken on the day.
• The hunter trial and scurry courses will be ready to walk from 2pm
on Thursday 2 April.
• Please add £4 per rider to help with first aid cover and
ambulances.

RULES AND CONDITIONS
All competitors and the owners of horses and ponies take part at
their own risk.
Neither the organisers nor the landowners take responsibility for
any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders,
spectators, cars or their contents and accessories or any other
person or their property whatsoever or however caused, including
the negligence of the organisers or landowners.
ALL RIDERS 18 years and under must wear a hat to standard PAS
015 with a British standard kite mark. All riders over 18 must wear
a hat with a safety harness but preferably one that conforms to PAS
015. These hats, with the harness correctly fastened MUST BE
WORN AT ALL TIMES WHEN MOUNTED.
Body protectors MUST be worn by all competitors 18 years and
under and are strongly recommended for ALL competitors.
Dogs must be kept on short leads at all times except when racing.
The Judges’ decision is final.
Stop watches are not allowed in any hunter trial class.
The organiser reserves the right to amend the course or conditions
of a class according to the ground and weather conditions on the
day.
Entries will be limited to ensure that the Scurry runs on time.
