St Michael’s College Display – 30th MAY 2015
All students with Costumes and Jazz Shoes or FAD Hip Hop Shoes or Cheerleading Shoes are invited to perform at the
above display. Following is the information on what costume will be required
Displays are an excellent chance for students to show their hard work and dedication that they have been working towards
in class each week. They are fun, exciting and also give the student’s confidence to perform in front of people. Displays are
where students dance to entertain people free of charge for local community groups at their fundraising events.
SUNSCREEN – We try our hardest for students to not have to be in the sun for a long period of time waiting to perform
however we advise that ALL parents apply sunscreen PRIOR to putting makeup and costumes on incase students are in the
sun for a short amount of time.
Make sure you arrive and leave with costume on and covered up with full studio uniform on top (this includes FAD Hoodie
or Polo shirt), and hair (with 6 twist backs and ponytail) and make-up already done.NO BRA STRAPS, UNDERWEAR,
SOCKS OR JEWELLERY should be seen. Cheer shoe side colours need to be removed.

STUDENT COLLECTION
Students come onto the stage twice, once they have bowed at the end of the performance we will bring them back around
to meet a parent or guardian. PLEASE DO NOT COME AND ASK TO TAKE STUDENTS EARLY AS IT IS TOO HARD TO
WATCH WHERE SOME STUDENTS ARE LEAVING EARLY.
COSTUMES
Every year we ask students not to be seen in costumes before or after performance and every year some students still walk
around in their costumes and get them dirty. DO NOT LET ME SEE STUDENTS WALKING AROUND IN COSTUMES
BEFORE OR AFTER THE DISPLAY INCLUDING COSTUME PANTS. ALL COSTUMES MUST BE COVERED UP OR TAKEN
OFF.
HAIR AND MAKE UP
Hair – Should be in 6 twist backs into a high ponytail, ALL FRINGES NEED TO BE PINNED AND SPRAYED BACK. If
costume comes with a matching headband or hair tie a Black Scrunchie must be worn around ponytail. ALL HEADBANDS
HAVE TO BE PINNED either side of the headband. Spray Glitter spray over hair (optional)
Make up – All students need, light blush, eye shadow, mascara and lipstick. Foundation & Eye liner (high school& up)
**There is a folder explaining how to do students hair and we will do examples at the studios to
display how to do the hair**

Things to Remember





Any student who does not have the correct footwear (Jazz, FAD Dance Boot, Chorus or Cheer Shoes, FAD
Hip Hop Shoes) will not be allowed to perform.
Any students who forget undies, arm bands or boots may result in no performing.
No Bra Straps (Except clear) and no coloured undies are allowed to be seen under costumes.
All students are to come and leave displays in costume with Polo Shirt or Hip Hop Hoodie over top and pants to
cover costumes (unless at fete all day) DO NOT EAT IN THE COSTUMES!
All Makeup and Hair needs to be done prior to coming.
