ACTIVITIES ACTION Status 1.0 Fuel – we will remove ourselves from the automatic fill up procedure with our fuel oil supplier. We will use a “will call” feature to keep fuel oil in the tank as required. Second fuel delivery this year was late March Ken Completed 2.0 Heat – reduce the heat in the parsonage to a minimum. Ken Completed 3.0 Electrical - we will de energized the electrical systems with the exception of the exterior lighting circuits as well as one electrical power circuit for the telephone system Telephone – we will maintain the telephone service in order for the communications for the security system to work. Ken Completed Ken Completed 5.0 Water – we will close the water service at the meter in the house, drain the water from the hot water tank, water piping and fill the water traps will antifreeze. Update on the status of Sexton activities – Wayne’s forecast return to work is mid May. Nature of the leave is a medical leave. 2. Work plan for 2015 – draft work plan will be circulated after the meeting, and we will need everyone’s comments. 3. Marvin windows replacement – Ken Margeson Marvin Windows continues with issues. We are keeping a record of any further issues with these windows. 4. Space study committee – progress to date – Ken Margeson 5. Ken is preparing a question and answers presentation to the Congregational Meeting. 6. Asbestos work a) Plan for the department of labor and BoM – Dave Gibson has prepared a number of volumes of documents for the Department of Labor, and these can be brought forward to BOM for the next meeting. 7. Grant Activities a) Wrap up Report – Ken Margeson 8. Flooring for the assembly room status – Alan North The FBC auxiliary has revised its decision to move forward with the funding for the flooring replacement, and will be funding this project. We will retain Cynthia Street to prepare a set of specifications for the project. Anticipated start will be July 04th 9. Heating system repairs and control work for heating system – Ken Margeson: First meeting of the sub-committee to be scheduled for this month. Sub-committee – A. Zadeh; B. Whalen; N. Nonnekes; K. Margeson 10. Handrails for the sanctuary – Alan North / Ken Margeson Handrails are proposed for Sanctuary: we have looked at several layouts, and have finalized a layout. We will be meeting with Rodney Enterprises shortly on site to review the particulars for this project. 11. Church pew refurbishing – Alan North: Church pews need to be cleaned / and a polish applied. Alan is to review a polish that we can try to see how it works. 12. Fee proposal for interior glazed windows is anticipated from Nova Windows, who is working with Cynthia Street. 13. The minutes from February have been revised, as revision 1 Dated April 7, 2015, and are attached to these minutes. 14. Dr Eisner will contact the exterior door supplier for the recommended maintenance program for the exterior doors. 15. New Business 16. Update on the status of Sexton activities – Sheila Stanley Sheila informed the Committee that Wayne McPhee, Sexton will be off work for the next few weeks. Jennifer is working the interior 5 hours/day and Peter is looking after snow removal. Ken will be monitoring the Parsonage. It has been decided Wayne and Ken will meet prior to every PMC Meetings. Shared understanding of warranties as to who is responsible for all documentation and procedures for follow-through should a problem arise. 2. Marvin windows replacement – Ken Margeson Marvin Windows continues with issues – Wayne has had them come and caulk 3-4 times and leakage persists. We will in future keep improved records and documentation in order to demand better service from Marvins. 4. Flooring for the assembly room status – Ken Margeson Flooring project funded by the Church Auxiliary has been withdrawn and money will be returned to Church Auxiliary Account as stated by President, Marlene Dexter. 8. Handrails for the sanctuary – Alan North Handrails are proposed for Sanctuary, they would be of brass and come from a company in Montreal. Handrails and brackets are a specialty of Warren Hoeg during his career days and Alan will call him as Alan is out of touch with these fixtures. It appears there are issues in the balcony where height is a risk factor and on the chancel steps the flooring is limestone and concrete. 10.
