FBN GCC Membership - FBN - Family Business Network GCC

Membership Overview
FBN GCC members are well-established and influential companies in the GCC. By joining
FBN GCC, all members are automatically a member of FBN-International. The Board
decides on the membership application of new members. Membership is made in the name
of a principal applicant, actively involved in the management of the family business, along
with four additional family members. Additional family members can attend FBN GCC
programs at event cost.
Membership Criteria
We welcome family businesses who share all the following criteria:






Family has reached the second generation in terms of ownership and management
Family has a controlling ownership interest in the firm
Firm has a distinctive and respected position in their industry
Family business has established a governance and succession mechanism
Firm has commenced professionalization and regional or international expansion
An annual turnover of USD$ 500 million (For Founder category only)
Note: In the case of a listed company, the family business possesses 25% of the right to
vote through their share capital and there is at least one family member on the board of
the company
Membership Contribution
The annual membership contribution for the various categories are as follows:

Founder USD$ 20,000 for one term of 12 months and applicable to five family
members of the family business

Fellow USD$ 10,000 for one term of 12 months and applicable to two family
members of the family business, and encourage one of the two to be from the next
generation (below under the age of 39 years old)

NexGen USD$ 1,000 for one term of 12 months and applicable to one family
member under the age of 39 years old
