Church FAMILY Camping
United Methodist Women
Did you know how, where, and when the
UNITED METHODIST WOMEN originated?
On March, 23, 1869, at the Boston
Massachusetts Tremont Street Methodist Episcopal Church eight
women learned of the lack of health
care and education for women in India.
They felt this issue needed to be addressed and later that year managed to
send two female missionaries: Isabella
Thoburn, an educator, and Clara Swain,
a medical missionary, to India. This was
the first mission accomplished by what
later became UMW.
July 10 – 12, 2015

and fellowship around the campfire.
You can enjoy fun at the beach, walking on the trail, playing on the playground and eating with your church

Call, text or email Lois Lee ASAP so

God’s Word for Today
On the first day of the week,
very early in the morning the
women took the spices they
had prepared and went to
the tomb. They found the
stone rolled away from the tomb but
when they entered, they did not find
the body of the Lord Jesus. While they
were wondering about this, suddenly
two men in clothes that gleamed like
lightning stood beside them. In their
fright, the women bowed down with
their faces to the ground, but the men
said to them, “Why do you look for the
living among the dead? He is not here;
he has risen!
