Reading Camp for First Grade

3 hours a day, for two weeks, Monday through Thursday, incorporates an
academic session, followed by an outdoor exploration/scavenger hunt at a
local park, closing with another one hour of academic instruction and practice.
Phonics, fluency practice, numeracy and listening comprehension will all be
part of the process.
Session 1: July 6 through July 17th

Middle School Composition
Essays made Easy
Two hours, four days a week. The focus is on using interesting assignments
to increase ease, comfort and fluency with writing! Students will acquire tools
for brainstorming, outlining and working through essays with ease and
confidence.
Session 1: July 6th – 9th,

It can be tough to get an essay started and we offer one-day workshops with
tips and strategies, scoring guide, model essays, and lots of practice! Let us

Research Papers Without Breaking a Sweat
A fun guide to writing a research paper. Students pick their own topics and
are supported in the stages of research as well as in writing the paper and
correctly citing the sources. A boot camp approach--one total immersion day
to build a lifetime skill. Will be offered twice during the summer.

Pre-Algebra Preparation
Our math tutors are amazing and are looking forward to preparing students
for their coming math challenges. We will preview pre-algebra to make sure
students are confident and fully prepared for the coming year. Critical
foundation skills and new concepts will be taught to assure that your son or
daughter is fully prepared for a highly successful year in an extremely
demanding course. 1 week session
8 Sessions
Price: $800
Summer Reading Boot Camp
2 hours a day, 3 times in a week or for a solid week (depending on length of
book), incorporating both shared reading, discussion and writing.
Based on summer reading selections in local Schools from 5th through 9th
grade. Ending with a book report or trailer!
Session 1: August 24th, 25th, 26th
4:30 to 6:30
Session 2: August 21st, September 1st, 2nd
4:30 to 6:30
Price: $300 per session
Will be held contingent on four students attending, and limited to 6.
The SSAT, HSPT, and the ISEE: An Introduction
for Parents
A free informational talk for parents whose children are applying to private
school. This session will help them to prepare their children for the upcoming
season of entry exams.
