OLEANNA was first produced on the New York stage by Frederick Zollo, Mitchell Maxwell, Alan J. Schuster, Peggy Hill Rosenkranz, Ron Kastner, Thomas Viertel, Steven Baruch and Frank and Woji Gero, in association with Patricia Wolff. The Back Bay Theatre Company production opened at the Orpheum Theatre on October 25, 1992. Noah Drewke Assistant to the Director...............................................................................................Rocco Thompson CAST BIOGR APHIES Gerald Nevin (John) is excited to be making his first appearance at the Skokie Theatre in Oleanna. . a slight change in intensity from his most recent experience of playing Felix Unger in Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple at GTG. Favorite roles from the past include Harry Roat in Wait until Dark and Frederick Arnott in Enchanted April at the Citadel Theatre; Harrison Marlowe in Enter Laughing at the Attic Playhouse; Henry Saunders in Lend me a Tenor and George Hay in Moon Over Buffalo at Theatre D. In a previous incarnation, he played the part of “Gary” on the ABC daytime drama All My Children and served as Managing Director for The L.A Rep Company. He is delighted to have the opportunity to work again with Wendy Kaplan and Wayne Mell. 2 MadKap Productions Ali Goodman (Carol) is thrilled to be making her Skokie Theatre debut as Carol in Oleanna. She has has been a part of the Chicago theatre scene for many years. Favorite roles include A Winter’s Tale and understudying A Little Night Music at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre; Haroun and the Sea of Stories with Northlight Theatre; Hedwig and the Angry Inch with Elemental Theatre Company; and Envoy with Echo Theatre Co. Ali also has a thriving voice over and film career. Clients include: HALLMARK, McDonald’s, Sears, and BSwift. When not acting, she focuses on her fitness/health/empowerment coaching business and spends time with her beautiful 2 year old son and husband. Check out more about Ali at www. aligoodman.com. He previously directed MadKap’s productions of Crimes of the Heart, Corpus Delicti, Side Effects May Include, and the inaugural Clutter: The True Story of the Collier Brothers Who Never Threw Anything Out. Wayne has also directed in many other North Shore theatres including the Citadel Theatre and the Attic Playhouse. Some of his past productions include God of Carnage, Wait Until Dark, Something’s Afoot, Murder in Green Meadows, The 1940’s Radio Hour, Cactus Flower, Mame and ‘Til The Fat Lady Sings. He would like to thank his wife, Debra, and son, Kevin, who never call him out for calling them “baby.” Wendy Kaplan (Producer) is the founding member of MadKap Productions. As the resident company here at Skokie Theatre, Wendy has produced this season’s Sweet Charity, Crimes of the Heart and Same Time Next Year and last year’s Tuesdays With Morrie. Additionally, she has produced MadKap’s productions of Corpus Delicti, Mr. Shaw Goes to Hollywood, Clutter: The True Story of the Colyer Brothers Who Never Threw Anything Out and a national tour of Side Effects May Include which travels the country in support of the Shaking with Laughter Foundation and the Michael J. Fox Foundation. She is a former Broadway brat, beginning her career as a gopher on Broadway for such productions as Lost in the Stars, the Leonard Bernstein Mass and various other plays. Locally, Wendy was formerly the Managing Director of Stage Two Theatre Company, and has also produced for Citadel Theater, the NorthShore Theater of Wilmette and Footlighters Theater Company in Des Plaines. Wendy is thrilled to be producing theatre at her new home, The Skokie Theatre! She would like to thank YOU, the audience, for the consistent support and affirmation. She would also like to thank Wayne Mell, her partner at the Skokie Theatre without whom, life just wouldn’t be jiggy. Enjoy the show! Rocco Thompson (Assistant to the Director) is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in theater. His directing credits include self-produced productions of Rajiv Joseph’s Gruesome Playground Injuries, Sarah Ruhl’s The Clean House and Tennessee Williams’ The Rose Tattoo. He’s truly enjoyed his time working with MadKap in Skokie and would like to thank Wayne, the cast and production team for making him feel so welcome! Pat Henderson (Set, Props, and Lighting Designer) is delighted to return for her second show with Madkap Productions, having designed the set for Crimes of the Heart. Pat is the resident set and lighting designer for Three Cat Productions as well as an independent director and designer. Recent Set/Lighting/Props Design credits: all shows by Three Cat Productions, Lost and Found, How to Make a Rainbow, Les Miserables, AIDA, and Rent. Pat is also a Director and Associate Producer for Williams Street Rep. Recent directing credits include: The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs, Staged readings for Three Cat Productions and her original adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Gorilla Tango Youth Theatre. Janice Gemp (Costume Designer) is happy to be back working with MadKap Productions after costuming their musical production of Sweet Charity this past fall. Past credits include costuming The Odd Couple and Moon Over Buffalo (GTG), Don’t Dress For Dinner (Citadel Theatre), Goodnight Moon – the musical, School House Rock Too, How I Became a Pirate, Willy Wonka, and The Full Monty (Highland Park Players). She has also been a Props Mistress for A Chorus Line and Cats (Highland Park Players), The Music Man (Footlighters Theatre), Thoroughly Modern Millie (GTG) and a wardrobe assistant for My Fair Lady (GTG). Janice is happy to be working with this talented cast and crew. His past theatrical activities include working as a Lighting/Sound Operator for Hamra Productions in Chicago.
