NPower Canada Introduction Letter
NPower Canada is launching our 2nd cohort this June at Ryerson University and I wanted to let you know about how our
no-cost IT professional skills training, paid internship and job placement program could benefit the bright, motivated
and deserving young adults whom you serve.
Our program is offered at no cost to young adults who are highly motivated to pursue a career in information
technology but who face barriers to pursuing full-time post-secondary education and securing sustainable employment.
We support these students to:
 Complete 15 weeks of IT skills training
developed by Cisco
 Earn their CompTIA A+ Certification
 Complete a minimum 8-week paid internship



Secure meaningful entry-level employment in
the information technology field
Pursue post-secondary studies
Gain valuable skills and work experience in IT
Eligible young adults must:
 Have completed high school, or GED
 Be between 18 to 25 years of age


Be able to work in Canada
Be motivated to pursue a career in IT
Technology Service Corps (TSC) program details:
 Runs M-F, 9AM-1PM or 1:30PM-5:30PM

Located at Ryerson University, Toronto
Our training leverages industry-leading curriculum designed by our partners at Cisco and also prepares students to earn
their CompTIA A+ certification, which is a globally recognized, in-demand IT certification qualifying students for a range
of entry-level IT positions, such as Help Desk Associate, Support Analyst and Computer Technician.
Students in our pilot class are currently on internships with our corporate partners such as Accenture, Bullfrog Power,
Cisco, Deloitte, TD Bank and Virgin Mobile, as well as at leading non-profit organizations such as Magnet, Dixon Hall,
Healthy Minds Canada and United Way Toronto.
Upon completing their internships, we support our students in securing full-time employment in the IT field and once
they are hired, we offer students an additional 2 years of post-employment support. We also work with students to
develop a long-term learning plan that prioritizes and supports the pursuit of post-secondary education.

youth themselves who would be eligible and may be interested in learning more about how we can help them.
