Little did we know ten years ago that GET was going to have such an economic impact across the MidHudson Valley region, when we pioneered some novel ideas:
· Equal access to economic resources and possibilities as a cornerstone of a healthy democracy
. Promoting Economic Development from the bottom up, so that all sectors of society might grow and
expand in a harmonious way
· Economic Growth with a Community Face or Social Inclusion.
Presently, there are many people around the world claiming and implementing these very same ideas. The
21st Century is presenting us with a unique challenge and opportunity: How to sustain ourselves, our families, our communities, our regions, our countries, our continents, as One World - the Only World we have
and share with everyone else.
For we have come to realize that the world is truly inter-connected and that what someone does overseas
affects us here at home, as what we do here has repercussions across the globe. For us to grow as individuals, implies that the region, the society we live in and the world around us must also grow.
GET is a free service to foster entrepreneurship across underserved urban areas in the Mid-Hudson Valley
region of New York State. GET fills the gap in existing services by starting its work at the basic early stages of
the economic and business ladder: the germination period where ideas are formed.

Since 2005, GET has worked on 857 projects and has started/assisted 380 businesses; creating an economic
impact of 98 million dollars in the region, a ROI of 75:1.
With offices in Poughkeepsie and Newburgh -- spanning four counties in the Mid-Hudson region of New
York State -- GET needs to raise annual funds in the order of $600,000.00 to support its free services and
