Jackson County Baptist Association Prayer Guide Day 1
Jackson County Baptist Association Prayer Guide
Day 1 - Port of Pascagoula Ministry: Please pray for
the JCBA Seafarers Ministry, which serves the needs of
more than 5,000 seafarers each year. Pray that by
meeting some of the physical needs of seafarers and port
employees we will be able to meet their spiritual needs.
Day 2 - Missions Jackson County & Summer Teams:
Please pray for volunteers from the Southern Baptist Churches
in Jackson County who seek to meet the needs of their
neighbors through construction projects. Each 3 rd Sat. of the
months through October 2015, churches can partner with the
association in meeting needs.
Day 3 - Mission Partners in the Caribbean – Please
pray for “But God” Ministries and their ministry in
Haiti. Since the 2010 earthquake, “But God” Ministries
has been building homes for those living in the “tent
cities,” providing medical and dental care, and
establishing churches to reach people for Christ.
Day 4 - Mission Partners in Africa: Please pray for George
and Geraldine Smith, missionaries in Uganda. Originally
from Moss Point, the Smiths have served in Uganda for many
years. A primary focus of their work has been evangelizing
tribal peoples on the Buvuma Islands in Lake Victoria.
Day 5 - Missions Partners in Central America:
Pray for Pastor Omar Claros who leads the Baptist
Mission of El Salvador in planting churches and
Pastor Ricardo Fuentes, who pastors Fuente da
Vida (River of Life), a Hispanic SBC Congregation
in Orange Grove.
Day 6 - Mission Partners in North America: Toledo: Please pray for the new
partnership with Toledo, OH Church plant, New Heights Fellowship. The
church has already planted three other churches to reach Toledo for Christ.
Toledo has become a focus for Southern Baptists, because Muslims have built a
huge mosque in Toledo, claiming they will overtake the city.
Day 7 - People of Jackson County: Pray for your neighbors and the people
throughout Jackson County who have not been born again. Statistics show us
that anywhere from 68 to 80% of the residents of Jackson County are not
affiliated with an evangelical congregation. We know people need a personal
relationship with Christ. Pray that God will use you, your church, and JCBA to
make an impact on Jackson County for Christ. To continue your prayer focus,
