Hook is a large village and civil
parish within the Hart district
of
northern

England. It is situated 6 miles
east of Basingstoke and 36

of
Southampton.
It can be reached on the A30 national route, just

The Old White Hart
Barrells, Gravel and Figures
The White Hart public house is
reputedly haunted although Coxe
does not give any details. However, other enquiries reveal that the
sound of beer barrels being rolled
have been reported, along with footsteps following staff, and the sounds of rustling gravel
have been heard in some bedrooms during the
night. Staff have witnessed ‘strange illuminated
figures walking around outside at night’.
