ADVANCE NOTICE: CASTELFIDARDO VISIT - MAY 2016
Following our visit to Castelfidardo ‘The Home of the Accordion’ last year a number of
people have expressed interest in a trip in 2016. If you would like to put your name down to
receive information please contact us on the telephone number or email below.
The visit to Italy will be for 5 days (4nts) and will include amongst others a visit to the
Accordion Museum, the opportunity to try the world’s largest working piano accordion and
also since last year a chromatic model also. Visits to factories seeing the latest accordions
being built by hand, discovering also how the bellows are made and how reeds are
produced. Try out the latest accordions in the showrooms and visit the new Carini accordion
accessory shop. Enjoy getting together in the evening playing on some of the accordions
loaned to the group. Experience the lovely region of Le Marche and some of the hilltop
towns. Visit the famous pilgrimage town of Loreto and the underground tunnels at Osimo..
Last Gala Night includes a guest accordionist and entertainment by members of the group.
Flights are from Heathrow to Bologna with British Airways and accommodation is at a 4
star hotel with Gala Night dinner included. Luxury coach travel from Bologna to Castelfidardo
is included and also use of the coach throughout the stay. Visit to Bologna or San Marino on
the return journey. Cost will depend on the flight rates when they are confirmed to us in a
few weeks but are estimated to start from around £520 - £540 for THE COMPLETE
PACKAGE in either twin or double rooms (suppl for sgl rooms). Proposed dates are from
Tuesday 3 May - Saturday 7 May (or Tues-Sat 17-21 May).
NOTE: We also plan to offer a Ryanair Stansted- Ancona option at approx. £100 less
than the Heathrow departure package (So £420-£440). Travellers will have to arrange
their own transfer from Ancona to the hotel in Castelfidardo (bus or taxi).
