Dear Students!
At last, summer is almost here!
Holidays are supposed to be a break from studies. But are holidays supposed to make you
irresponsible and lazy kids ? No –
All in all, you should never waste your summer holidays. Instead, it is time to consider how to make a
substantial summer. Take up certain responsibilities and enjoy your holidays with your family.

HOLIDAY HOMEWORK
 The holiday homework assignments are a good way to better our strengths and overcome our
weaknesses.
 The holiday homework should be completed and submitted in the first week after the school
reopens.
 This holiday homework will be considered under Formative Assessment and the marks will be
added in the I Term.

Keep a routine
Go for morning walks with your family.
Read Newspapers daily, remember books are your best friends, so select books of your level
and read them.
Practice Writing one page daily. Learn to write a page in the dairy of your daily work. You will
improve upon your writing skills gradually.
Help parents with house work. Try to understand their problems. Help them in making family
budget.
This is a golden chance to look after your parents, grand parents, elders and even your
younger brothers and sisters.
Show your love to grand parents by hugging and sharing your thoughts.
Seek the advice of elders when you are in dilemma.
Do not involve your self in family discords, be neutral in your opinion.
Value the hard earned money of your parents, try to save where you can.
Do not indulge in junk food like Chips, Burger, Pizza etc. eat healthy food like Vegetables,
Seasonal Fruits, Sprouts etc. and drink plenty of water.
Cultivate Good Manners Remember the four magic words, Please, Thank you, Sorry and
Excuse me and make them part of your personality. Do not forget etiquettes and manners
learnt at school during holidays, practice them.
Wear a cap or carry an Umbrella when going out in the sun.
Paint, play, sculpt, write, dance – to create anything is one of the greatest pleasures of all.

Team Gwalior Glory High School won the award for Best Screenplay in “Dharohar” Inter School
Documentary Film Making Competition organized in the school on 18th April 2015. The team
comprised of Devang Shrimali (IX-D), Isha Mehta (X-C) and Prabhjot Kaur (X-C)

ward’s progress. If you don’t have a login id yet, contact Mrs. Vini Tiwari, System Coordinator for

Inculcate the habit in your child of feeding of birds, stray animals with Grains, Roti, Bread etc.
Place water for animals in earthen pots out side your house.

Please save water, use bucket for washing of vehicles in place of directly using water from pipe.
Teach the same to the children.

Insist on carrying of cloth bag when going out for shopping. Ban use of Poly Bags.
Objective behind the competitive exams of Science Olympiad Foundation promoted at school.
All the activities of the Foundation aim at making learning an interesting and interactive process in
which the learner is able to put his / her skills, memory, talent and knowledge to test.
 Each student will be provided with a brochure containing all the information about the Olympiads.
 Parents should help their wards to tick the correct subject. No request will be entertained, after
the dispatching of the forms.
 For the last academic year 25000 schools from 14 Asian Countries registered for the Olympiads
and millions of students have been benefited through these exams.
 The British Council and BBC are the knowledge partners for these Olympiads.
 Ranking given by SOF have been confirmed by subsequent results of IIT-JEE, CBSE and other
National Level Examinations.
 Students and their mentors are suitably awarded with best industry sponsored prizes like
computers, cash award, books, CDs, trophies and medals.
