The club is administered by an elected management committee. Each gymsport - Men’s Artistic, Women’s Artistic, and General Gymnastics - has a Head Coach, whose role is to ensure that all programs within that gymsport are developmentally sound, and structured to provide a pathway for children to progress from a beginner to an advanced level. Reporting to each head coach are accredited beginner, intermediate and advanced coaches and trainees. Head Coaches are accountable to the Club Operations Manager. As an incorporated association, Gymnastics Townsville is governed by a Management Committee, which meets monthly. All management committee positions are voluntary, and are subject to election each year. Sponsorship and fundraising are an integral part of the club’s activities, and assist in keeping training fees as low as possible. Gymnastics Townsville would like to acknowledge the Gambling Community Benefit Fund, and Qld Government Office of Sport & Recreation, as well as a number of local businesses for their continued support. The club’s administration office is manned on a part-time basis, to handle collection of training and competition fees, general inquiries, and merchandise sales. Any questions of a general nature can be directed to the office administrator, or to the relevant coach if they pertain to a technical or coaching issue. Please refer to the office administrator first to arrange a suitable time to talk to coaches (generally after a class has finished). 2015 Classes Boy’s Competitive: MAG (Men’s Artistic Gymnastics) KINDERGYM 2-3 years Monday Monday Thursday Saturday 9:00am - 9:50am 10:00am - 10:50am 9:00am - 9:50am 8:00am - 8:50am PREPGYM 4-5 years Monday Monday Thursday Friday Saturday Saturday 11:00am - 11:50am 4:00pm - 4:50pm 10:00am - 10:50am 4:00pm - 4:50pm 9:00am - 9:50am 10:00am - 10:50am GYMFUN 6-7 years Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Saturday 5:00pm - 5:50pm 4:00pm - 4:50pm 4:00pm - 4:50pm 4:00pm - 4:50pm 11:00am - 11:50am GYMSKILLS 8-12 years Tuesday Tuesday Wednesday Friday Saturday 5:00pm - 5:50pm 6:00pm - 6:50pm 5:00pm - 5:50pm 5:00pm - 5:50pm 12:00pm - 12:50pm Gymnastics Townsville must continually meet quality control guidelines in order to affiliate with Gymnastics Queensland and Gymnastics Australia.
