NAME: 1. Super Soft Find out 5 vile and strange facts about life in the Middle Ages. The facts must be true. Display your facts neatly & creatively on paper and add suitable pictures. Medieval Menu Use the internet to research the sort of food that Medieval people ate and create a menu for either (a) a feast at the manor house or (b) a day in a normal persons house. Fact File Biography Create a fact file biography of a famous person from the Middle Ages (1066 – 1400) Display your facts neatly & creatively on paper and add suitable pictures. Bayeux Tapestry Produce an A4 fact file about the Bayeux Tapestry. It must have at least 10 key facts. Don’t copy and paste from the internet. Design a Gap – fill activity Choose one aspect of medieval life and create a gap fill exercise. You will need to write at least 10 sentences and remember to list the words at the bottom of your paragraph. 2. Jelly Sweets Job Advert Do some research about different jobs in Medieval times and create a job adverts for a newspaper for three jobs. Then and Now Choose one aspect of Medieval life and compare it to modern life. What is the same and what is different? Which time would you prefer to live in and Why? Diary Entry Imagine that you are a person living in Medieval Norwich. Write a diary entry for one day explaining what your life is like and what you get up to. FACEBOOK Create a fake Facebook profile/page for a famous person of the Middle Ages (1066 – 1400). It should not be someone we have studied in class. Newspaper Front Page Create a newspaper front page for the Norwich Herald. Think about what sort of stories would be important to people at the time, what sort of adverts would they want to see. 3. Boiled Sweets Board Game You have been asked to design a board game which teaches yr6 students about Medieval life. You do not have to make the game but you do need to show how the board would look, the instructions and rules, ideas for counters etc. Just like you were going to pitch it on Dragons Den. Medieval Guidebook Imagine a timetravelling device has been invented, allowing tourists to travel back to Medieval times. You have been tasked to create a guidebook in which you will advise tourists on what to expect from medieval England. Dick Whittington Research the true story of Dick Whittington (not the pantomime version). You need to create a storyboard/cartoon strip showing the true story.
