Our schedules are packed with career, family, friends, church and other responsibilities. We could all use a little breathing room. Our relationship with God and with others benefits when we create breathing room in our schedules. But where do we start? Join Pastor Jonathan and Beverly Neville for a 4-week study of Andy Stanley’s Breathing Room. In this series, Andy Stanley shows us how to create breathing room in our schedules, our finances and our relationships. After all, life is better with breathing room. $10 per participant guide. Sign up today at www.hmumc.org/summerstudy. May is IMAGINE NO MALARIA Month! This May, we are going to Imagine No Malaria. Malaria is 100% preventable. Unlike many other diseases that are awaiting a cure, malaria was eliminated in the U.S. in the 1950s. However, in Sub-Saharan Africa, malaria continues to kill a person every 60 seconds. But there is hope! Imagine No Malaria is part of a global partnership and together with our partners, our generation can beat malaria once and for all. A donation of only $10 will save a life by providing two full rounds of malaria medication. Visit www.hmumc.org/donate. HMUMC Cookbook An HMUMC cookbook is coming! “Love Beyond Measure,” will contain favorite recipes from our church, and you can be part of it. Simply choose up to three of your favorite recipes and submit them by going to www.hmumc.org/cookbook. ALL proceeds from the cookbook will go to the HMUMC Growing Together building fund. We will enjoy these favorite recipes for years to come and it will help us “Grow Together” — generation to generation in the process. Please join in the fun! Help for Atlanta’s Homeless United in Christ Ministries reaches out to homeless men in downtown Atlanta, providing clothing, toiletries and other resources. This spring, they are asking area churches for donations of new or lightly-used t-shirts and tennis shoes, as well as new socks and men’s boxers. If you would like to donate, there is a receptacle in Pastor Jason’s office until June 1st. Thank you for whatever you are able to do!
