Honour House is a home away from home
Dear Guests,
for our Canadian Forces, Veterans, Emergency Services
Personnel and their families to stay while healing occurs.
Honour House Society was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization with the purpose of providing a “home away from home” for our Canadian Forces, Veterans and Emergency Services Personnel
and their families, while they receive medical care in the Metro Vancouver region.
In 2008, the Society purchased a large heritage home at 509 St. George Street in New Westminster.
The house has been significantly renovated into a 10 bedroom, fully wheelchair accessible facility,
with many shared living spaces, which provide a comfortable, home-like environment for our guests.
To honour the dedication and service that our Canadian Forces, Veterans and Emergency Services
Personnel have made to our nation, the Society named the home “Honour House”.
With the support of BC Housing, the City of New Westminster, Vancouver Regional Construction
Association, corporate sponsors, organizations, individuals and the community, Honour House
Society has achieved its goal to offering free accommodation and resources to our heroes during
their times of need.
Since Honour House opened its doors to its first guests in 2011, it has provided over 2150 nights of
housing. The society relies on fundraising and donations to keep the doors to Honour House open,
and to continue providing free accommodation for our brave men and women in uniform and their
families. Proceeds from the “A Night for Heroes” Gala will go directly into supporting this first-of-akind home in Canada.
Please join us on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Sheraton Wall Centre Hotel for an unforgettable
evening, including dinner, a live auction and a special and intimate performance by the Jann Arden
Trio. Your support will help Honour House to always be able to welcome our heroes to our “home
away from home” and leave a lasting legacy for those who so selflessly sacrifice so much for our
country and ask for nothing in return.

TABLES AND TICKETS
Tables of 10 for the ‘A Night for Heroes’ Gala are available for $5000*
Individual tickets are available for $500 each**
A receipt will be issued for the charitable portion of each table and tickets purchased. For
those unable to attend the Gala, but would like to make a contribution, we will happily fill any
sponsored seats with Canadian Forces or Emergency Services members. Donations for live
auction and raffle are also welcome.

*All sponsors and table purchases have the option of 8 guests seated at their table, instead
of 10. If the sponsor chooses this option, Honour House will donate the additional 2 tickets
to Canadian Forces members and/or Emergency Services Personnel and will ensure these
special guests are seated at the sponsors’ table.
**A charitable tax receipt will be issued for each individual ticket purchase.
