UAMS New Employee Orientation Day 1 All Benefit-eligible Employees Attend All Presentations are Mandatory For assistance please call HR 501-686-5650 7:50 Meet at the Information Desk, 1st floor, Central Hospital (near the C Elevators) Escorted to Orientation by orientation coordinator Housekeeping Items 8:05 – 8:10 Welcome 8:10 – 9:50 Patient-and Family-Centered Care 9:50 – 10:00 Break (Please return on time) 10:00 – 11:00 Payroll Sign Up 11:00 – 11:10 (Executive Designee) (Office of Human Resources) Answer questions regarding paperwork for Payroll (submit these completed forms at 11:10) Staff Handbook Medical Screening (Employee Health/Student Preventive Health Services) Discussion of immunizations and other medical screening requirements Completion of Employee Medical History and TB testing forms (You will receive an appointment card tomorrow, advising you when to report for your medical screening.) 11:10 – 11:45 Appointment Activities 11:45 – 12:30 12:30 – 1:35 (concourse area outside classroom, return on time) Visit Human Resources table to turn in retirement forms Benefits and Insurance (Office of Human Resources) 3:55 – 4:30 Explanation and enrollment in Retirement Plan Important! Completing retirement plan forms is a condition of employment Appointment Activities and Break 1:55 – 3:55 Visit Student/Employee Health table to turn in forms, TB skin test placement Visit Human Resources table to turn in payroll forms Lunch (on your own - cafeteria offers 20% discount with name tag/badge.
