TRANSMISSIONS
Every H.E.C transmission is built to OEM specs and is tested on a state of the art
fully electronic dynamometer for proper shift quality/valve body pressures (harshup-shift or down-shift, banging), noise (bearings, gears), and leaks (axles, cases)
and overall operation. Today’s electronically controlled transmissions demand
quality testing. H.E.C. goes one step further with our exclusive road testing
program, where transmissions are installed in actual test vehicles and absolute
proper operation is confirmed in the car on the road. H.E.C.’s commitment to quality
testing on dynamometers and on the road insures the transmission will work right
the first time which means peace of mind for the dealer or independent repair shop,
the technician doing the installation and the customer. If you insist on dyno-testing,
quality, superior customer service and value, H.E.C is the right choice!
ENGINES
H.E.C. also offers superior quality remanufactured long block engines. All engines
are built to OEM specs and dynamometer tested for proper compression, oil
pressure, and timing and to ensure there is no abnormal noise or knocking. Dynotesting also serves to pre-oil the engine, reducing the potential for damage at initial
start up.

Gasket set and timing assembly included with all engines.

Freight: Freight is included both ways on all H.E.C. components.

Transmissions: Shipping Included. Local (L.A. area) - same day, California-1-2 business days, outside
California - 3 business days. Upgraded shipping available at an additional cost.
Engines: Shipping Included. Local (L.A. area) - 3 business days, outside the Local Area (L.A. area) - 5
business days. Upgraded shipping available at an additional cost.
Torque Converters and Power Steering Racks: Shipping Included. Standard 3 Day via UPS.*
Next Day Service Available: Continental US - $30.00; AK & HI - $50.00
* Standard 3 Day Shipping on Power Steering Racks to AK & HI - $20.00
Cores: H.E.C. sells all components on core exchange. All cores must be fully assembled, correct trade-in unit and
rebuildable. There are no core deposits on H.E.C. components. All cores are to be returned to H.E.C. regardless of
any additional charges at the time of sale. All cores must be drained and returned in original shipping container.

Transmissions: Damaged cases will be charged an additional amount based on location and extent of
damage. All cores outstanding past 30 days are subject to a full core charge. Call for more information.

Engines: Cores with visible damage to the head(s) and/or block will be charged an additional amount.
Visible damage consists of cracks, holes or broken castings. The crankshaft must also rotate a full 360
degrees. If the crankshaft will not turn over due to a broken rod or seizure by oil starvation an additional
charge will apply. Cores must be returned to H.E.C. with the same attachments and components as were
shipped on the remanufactured unit. All cores outstanding past 30 days are subject to a full core charge.

Transmission and Engine Coverage
Warranty coverage for our 50 Month/50,000 Mile and 36 Month/36,000 Mile on automatic transmissions and
engines, and 24 Month/24,000 Mile warranty on manual transmissions includes:

Replacement component (or cost of parts to repair).
•
R & R labor time using manufacturer warranty time and your customer pay labor rate.
•
Rental car from Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Authorization must be made through H.E.C.
•
Towing expenses to nearby facility (not to exceed $100.00) include copy of bill with closed repair order.
The warranty coverage for our 12 Month/12,000 Mile warranty includes:
•
Replacement component (or cost of parts to repair).
•
R & R labor time using manufacturer warranty time at a rate not to exceed $50.00 per hour.
All warranty repairs, including labor charges and parts, must have prior approval by H.E.C.
All Engines and Transmissions will come with an H.E.C. warranty certificate and warranty registration card. Please be
sure these items are given to your customer.

Torque Converter and Power Steering Rack Coverage
The 12 Month/12,000 Mile warranty on our Torque Converters and Power Steering Racks is replacement
parts ONLY.
The 36 Month/36,000 Mile warranty on our Power Steering Racks include up to 4 hours R & R labor.
When a Warranty “IS NOT” Covered
Out of warranty by time or mileage: This is based on the original purchase. Replacement or repair under
warranty does not cause warranty to begin again.
Failure unrelated to the product.
Failure due to misuse or abuse (including vehicles used for Racing).
Lack of proper service during warranty period, according to the factory guidelines.
Broken or altered odometer.
Damage caused by overheating, lack of lubrication or contamination.
