ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The International Conference on Intelligent Unmanned System is organized by the International Society of
Intelligent Unmanned System. The joint-event is the 11th conference extending from previous conferences
held in Seoul-Korea (2005,2006), Bali-Indonesia (2007, 2010), Nanjing-China (2008), Jeju-Korea (2009),
Chiba-Japan(2011), Singapore (2012), Jaipur-India(2013) and Montreal-Canada (2014). ICIUS 2015 focuses
on both theory and application primarily covering the topics on robotics, autonomous vehicles and intelligent
unmanned technologies.

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION
Papers must be written in English and describe original
work. Submitted papers, either for review or publication (after
acceptance), must be formatted in the standard double
column Proceedings format and conform to the template
available at the conference website.
 For publication in the proceedings, accepted papers
are limited to 6 pages. Papers are allowed up to a
maximum of an additional 2 pages, which is subject to the
normal page over-length fee.
 Upon acceptance, at least one of the authors of the
paper must register for the conference in order for
the paper to be included in the proceedings.
 Select papers will be invited for publication in companion
journals: I J Intelligent Unmanned Sys, J Unmanned Sys
Tech, J Instr Auto Sys and I J Robotics and Mech.

SOCIAL PROGRAM
How can one accurately describe the magic of Bali? The island of the Gods is steeped in riches that are
beyond material value. The accompanying social program of the conference is so designed to aptly present
the uniqueness of the place. Here lush tropical landscapes, culture and tradition, art and theatre, contrast
sharply with the simplicity of a nice-framing culture and the dynamism of a modern developing nation. In
addition, inline with the conference theme, the participants will also have an unforgettable opportunity to
explore Bali’s rarely visited reefs and wide variety colored marine creatures using Odyssey underwater
vehicle.
ABOUT BALI
Bali, many called it the heaven on Earth, on
the map seems such a small island. Indeed
it covers a small area of just 5,620 square
kilometers, and is one of the smallest
islands in the Indonesian archipelago.
However, it is a great mistake to think that
you can see all of Bali in a couple of days.
Apart from a stunning range of scenery that
varies every view kilometers and amaze of
criss-crossing roads to explore there are
thousands of places of interest to discover,
and a culture and lifestyle full of exciting
events to witness.
Conference Venue
The conference will be hosted at Conrad
Hotel, in Tanjung Benoa, Bali. Tanjung
Benoa is located at the tip of the Nusa Dua
Peninsula. Flanked by the ocean on both
sides, with white sandy beaches lining its
coast. On a clear day, visitor can even get a
view of Mount Agung, the highest mountain
in Bali on the horizon. Thanks to its beautiful
beaches and calm water, Tanjung Benoa is
recently appointed the Bali’s marine sports
center.
The social program will be held on Aug. 29, started with an underwater tour program in the morning. The
participants of the tour will depart from the hotel after breakfast and go to the diving location by bus. A buffet
lunch will be provided upon the return from the submarine dive. The program will be continued by visiting
Besakih, coffee farm, and Kintamani. Optionally, the participant can also enjoy golfing in the vicinity of the
venue.
USEFUL INFORMATION
To assist the participants and accompanying people during their visit and stay in Bali, it is important to note
the following information :
Visa: VISA to Indonesia is required for participants from most Asian countries. Visa on Arrival costs US$35
for 30 days visiting period, single entry. General Information Concerning Visa Application is available at The
Official Site of Directorate General of Immigration of The Republic Of Indonesia.
Weather: The weather in August will be one of the best around the year. High should be above 33oC and
lows around 22oC.
Transportation: The hotel could be reached by taxy directly from the airport. The trip normally cost Rp
50.000,- up to Rp 80.000,- or equal to US$ 7 up to US$ 10. Each taxy may accommodate up to 3 persons.

OTHER INTERESTED DESTINATIONS
Ubud
Ubud is arguably the best place to use as a base if you're visiting Bali; if you're looking for culture, comfort,
nature and inspiration. Ubud is surrounded by most of the things that bring people to Bali -- scenic rice
fields, small villages, art and craft communities, ancient temples, palaces, rivers, cheap accommodation and
unique luxury hotels. And it's central location makes it easy to get from Ubud to the mountains, beaches,
and major towns. Throughout the Ubud area, you can pick up inexpensive small paintings which make
excellent decorative accents back home. Other crafts in the towns surrounding Ubud include weaving
(Gianyar area), stone carving (Batubulan), basket making (Bona), bamboo and rattan work (Sakah and
Bona), jewellery (Celuk), bone and coconut carving (Tampaksiring), batik, furniture making, bronze casting,
and, decorative metalwork.
Tanah Lot
Carved out of the landscape by tides, wind and rain, the huge offshore sentinel rock of Tanah Lot is the site
of a picturesque sea temple. There is a bridge connecting the mainland at low tide and below the waterline
there are reputed to be caves, which shelter large sea-snakes, the guardians of the temple. Although a
small sanctuary, Tanah Lot is linked to a series of sea temples on the south coast of Bali. All these temples
are related to the principal mountain sanctuaries: Besakih at Gunung Agung, Pura Batur at Batur and Plura
Luhur at Mt. Batukau. The upland temples venerate deities associated with mountains and mountain lakes,
while the sea temples include homage to the guardian spirits of the sea within their ritual.
