Sub: Meeting of Organising Committee of EGNM, scheduled on 25 April, 2015.
Sir,
1. As a part of making necessary arrangements to meet all requirements of the ensuing “International Conference

on Engineering Geology in New Millennium (EGNM)” at IIT, New Delhi during 27 to 29 October 2015, it is
th
proposed to hold meeting of the Organising Committee of EGNM on 25 April, 2015 (Saturday) at 10.00 hrs at the
office of the SJVN Ltd., IRCON Building, Ground Floor, C4 District Centre, Saket, New Delhi-110 017 under the
Chairmanship of Dr. Gopal Dhawan, President, ISEG and Chairman, Organising Committee, EGNM.
2. It is also proposed some of Org. Committee members including M&M group to visit venue and places identified

for dining and exhibition purposes at IIT Delhi on 24 April, 2015. A prior visit to the places may be essential for
making necessary arrangements. In this regard, Shri Arindam Chakraborty of NHPC, Faridabad is requested to
take appointment from Prof. K.S. Rao, IIT D.
3. Further, on 24th April itself, a small group of Organising Committee may visit Secretary, Ministry of Mines,
Govt. of India & Chairman, Advisory Committee of EGNM and appraise status of progress made towards EGNM.
In this regard, Dr. Gopal Dhawan sahib is requested to kindly make arrangements to take appointment from the
Secretary.
4. All members of Executive Council of ISEG, all members of Organsing Committee of EGNM, all Delhi based ISEG
Members and ISEG NCR Delhi Chapter Members are requested to kindly make it convenient to participate in the

proposed Organising Committee meeting on 25 April, 2015 and offer suggestions to organise the mega event.
M&M, the Event Management Group of the Conference will also be requested to join the meeting. Members
may please confirm their participation at [email protected]. A working lunch will be served during the meeting.
Proposed Agenda of the meeting:
1. Status of works by Conveners of various Organising Committees of the Conference.

Venue and catering Committee (vi) Field visit and Sightseeing Committee (vii) IAEG Affairs (viii)

2. Activities of Event management group:
(i) Inspection of the venue / Arrangements for dining space and Exhibition space. (ii) Visit to identified
hotels (iii) Sponsors from M&M (iv) Examination of Airport transport to be made available to
delegates.
3. Gateway for making payments.
4. Preparations for Post Conference field visits / Excursions.
5. Preparation of field guides.
6. Status of clearances for International Delegates
7. Identification of themes and key note speakers.
8. Status of Acceptance of Abstracts.
9. Scouting for sponsors/co-sponsors/advertisers.
10. Status of publications to bring out on the occasion / Spl. Publication / Souvenir.
11. EGNM website www.egnmindia2015.org with online facilities for abstract/paper submission.
