 Symbaloo Symbaloo is a bookmarking and curation tool for users to store and share favorite websites. 1. Go to Symbaloo Edu – http://www.symbalooedu.com/ and click Create your free acount. Complete the form and register the account. A generic symbaloo page will appear. 2. Tap the + tab to create a new mix. 3. Provide a title for the webmix. Click Add. An empty webmix appears. Add Links 1. Click on a tile (empty box). 2. Choose Create a Tile. 3. Provide a title. Click on the name – Symbaloo will automatically include a name, but you can change the name. 4. Place a checkmark in the box by Show Text? – recommended. 5. Change the color of the tile by clicking on any selection. 6. Symbaloo may add an image populated from the website. However, an image may not always appear. To add an image, choose an icon from the provided list or upload an image from your computer. 7. Choose Save. Change Background Choose Options from the top menu. Click Change Wallpaper. Move Tiles Move tiles to any location by clicking and dragging the tile. Edit or Delete Existing Tiles Right click with your mouse on the tile. A menu will appear. Copy a tile to another webmix Right click with your mouse on the tile. From the menu, choose Copy/Move. Choose to copy to another mix or move the tile. Tool | 5.20.15 @BVEdTec Group Tiles Drag a tile over another tile. A pop-­‐up appears grouping the tiles. A new icon will appear in the place of the tile. Once a user clicks on the tile, the ‘grouped’ tiles appear. Right click to change group tile and size. Share Webmix 1. Click Share in the top toolbar. 2. Click Share my webmix. A box appears with the web address to the webmix. Users do not need a Symbaloo account to view your webmix. Share on School Center, Edmodo or email. *Any time you make changes to the webmix, publish the webmix again so users can see the changes. Update/Publish Remix After Changes 1. Once you make changes, click the update icon in the top toolbar. Notice it changes to blue once you make changes. When you see this change, make sure you click to update. 2. A confirmation message appears. Additional Features 1. View all created webmixes: Click the icon in the top, left corner to view all webmixes. 2. Search: Search for webmixes or tiles. Click on the drop down arrow to search by webmix or tiles. Tiles: Type a keyword and a list of tiles appear. Click tile to add to webmix. Webmix: Type a keyword and a list appears. Click to view. To add to your webmix list, click Add This Webmix. Click the Lock to edit and make your own. 3. Home Page: Add Symbaloo as your home page.
