Venado Middle School A NATIONAL BLUE RIBBON AND CALIFORNIA DISTINGUISHED SCHOOL April 14, 2015 Dear Parents and Guardians: On behalf of our staff members, I would like to welcome you to Venado Middle School, home of the Knights! As your child’s elementary years are quickly coming to a close, planning for middle school and seventh grade has begun. A large part of planning for the next year is the registration process. This letter contains important information about course descriptions, a school visit/assembly for all incoming 7th graders, a parent night, submitting elective course requests and Open House. Please review this letter carefully. April 21, 2015 - Assembly for Incoming 7th Grade Students at Venado On Tuesday, April 21, we will be hosting a special assembly for all incoming 7th graders. Due to space limitations, this assembly is for students and teachers only. We will have a few student activities led by our WEB: Where Everyone Belongs Team and an assembly where students will learn about their new school and about classes, including electives, for next year. School spirit is very important and a big part of student life at Venado. Please make sure your child wears our school colors that day. Our school colors are black and gold/yellow. If your child attends College Park, Deerfield, or Greentree Elementary Schools, your child will be walking to Venado with his/her teacher and class. Students from other elementary schools are also invited, but parents will need to sign their children out of the elementary school and provide transportation to and from Venado for the assembly. Students should arrive at Venado at 10:30am. Students will also need to be signed out by parents at the end of the assembly.
