APPOINTMENT
SPECIAL SITTING OF PARLIAMENT
NOTICE is given to all Senators that pursuant to Standing Order
29 of the Senate Standing Orders, on the request of the Senate
Majority Leader, with the support of the requisite number of Senators,
I have appointed Thursday, 9th April, 2015 as a day for a special
sitting of the Senate. The sitting shall be held at the Senate Chamber,
Parliament Buildings, Nairobi at 2.30 p.m. The business to be
transacted at the sitting shall be the consideration of the Division of
Revenue Bill, National Assembly Bills No. 11 of 2015 as passed by
the National Assembly, without amendments, on Wednesday, 25th
March, 2015.
In accordance with standing order 29 (5) of the Senate Standing
Orders, the business specified in this Notice shall be the only business
before the Senate during the special sitting, following which the
Senate shall stand adjourned until Tuesday, 28th April, 2015 at 2.30
p.m. in accordance with the resolution of the Senate made on
Thursday, 2nd April, 2015.
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 6 (3) of the
Biosafety Act, 2009, the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Science and
Technology appoints—
WILLY KIPROTICH TONUI (DR.)
to be Chief Executive Officer of the National Biosafety Authority, for
a period of three (3) years, with effect from 1st February, 2015.

NOTICE OF I NTENTION TO SPECIFY
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 3 of the
Prevention of Terrorism Act (No. 30 of 2012), the Inspector-General
of Police notifies the entities set out in the list attached hereto of his
intention to recommend to the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government that an order be made declaring
each of the entities named therein as a specified entity.
In accordance with subsection 2 of section 3 of the Prevention of
Terrorism Act (No. 30 of 2012), the Inspector-General of Police
notifies the entities set out in the attached list to demonstrate within the
next 24 hours why it should not be declared as a specified entity.
