Palm/ Passion Sunday 29th March 2015 PALM SUNDAY KILMOVEE PARISH CHURCH 6pm-7pm D HOLY WEEK BEGINS uring the coming days we will celebrate the high point of our Christian Faith as we recall the events around the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. This story, very familiar to us, is at the heart of our Faith. There will be many opportunities between the four churches of our parish for all to participate in the Holy Week Ceremonies and we encourage as many as possible to come along, recall these Sacred Events and allow again the call from the Upper Room to be heard — ”DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME”. The CHRISM MASS in the Cathedral on Holy Thursday at 11am is a special moment in our diocese and all, especially our Confirmation Candidates and families, as well as those involved in caring for the sick are welcome. HOLY PLACES Rtin Traditionally a collection is taken up for the up-keep of the Holy Places on Good Friday, after the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion. LOURDES PILGRIMAGE PLEASE PRAY FOR We remember in prayer Fr. Brendan Shiel, Carlton, Sydney and late of Kilkelly who has died. A memorial Mass for the late Fr. HOLY WEEK Please check our Parish Diary Page for times of Holy Week Ceremonies. Please join us for as many of the ceremonies as possible. We will look for additional volunteers to assist with the Holy Week Ceremonies and look forward to as many as possible taking part. Thanks to all our Altar Servers who will participate in the Ceremonies. We ask them to attend for practices as arranged. The children of First Holy Communion Class and some from the Confirmation Class (Kilmovee) are invited to take part in the “Washing of Feet” liturgy during the Mass of The Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday.
