Kirkby Malzeard CE Primary School Kirkby Malzeard, Ripon Tel/Fax: 01765 658329 May 1st 2015 Phoenix Dance The children had a brilliant day on Wednesday taking part in workshops led by Janice from the Phoenix Dance Group. The work is linked to the ‘Ten Pieces’ music project and our children chose to work on the ‘Firebird’ piece. They all worked so hard and Janice praised their creativity and flair. The day ended in performance for parents to celebrate the work. It was great to have such a large audience and to receive so many positive comments. I am sure the children gained lots from this experience and it was wonderful to see them work so confidently. News from the school kitchen … We are always trying hard to meet the needs of our children and families by offering a variety of choices at lunchtimes. Currently we offer a hot meal, vegetarian option and jacket potato option and after half term we will be offering a sandwich option as well. There will be a choice of two fillings each day and the sandwiches will be served with carrot & cucumber sticks. All of these meals come with a pudding or fruit. Please remember if your child is in OAK class they are entitled to a free school meal as part of the government initiative. Further details will be sent out with the school meal choice order forms.
