As the developer and writer of the National Coaching Certification Program’s
(NCCP) Level III - Jumper, Jen was also the first Canadian coach to achieve the
certification in 1989. She also sport-specified the NCCP’s Level IV coaching
program for Jumping and was the first Jumper coach to achieve the level in 1998.
Jen has been featured in various publications, both as a contributing writer and
expert and as the focus of articles on coaching, but she remains most proud of
being highlighted in George H. Morris’ Hunter Seat Equitation (1971) in which he
compliments her “terrific ‘eye for a distance’” and says “she may be an inspiration
to those who think they’re not built to ride.”
