Basic Duties: In his 32 years at Lane Office Greg has handled projects for Condé Nast Publications, Interpublic Group of Companies, FINRA, and New York University. His devotion to client satisfaction is demonstrated by his tireless commitment to being an advocate for his clients. It’s not uncommon to find him at job sites on nights and weekends, looking out for his client’s best interests. Significant Projects: Condé Nast Publications, Interpublic Group, New York University Fun Fact: Mr. Burke is extremely philanthropic and donates to many non-profit organizations and charities throughout New York City and Long Island. A strong believer in giving back to those less fortunate, he is a proud supporter of Coalition for the Homeless’ Grand Central Food Program, Mercy Hospital, Winthrop University Hospital, Wounded Warriors, Fordham University, St. John’s University, and Chaminade High School, among many others. Period. SM 4STEPAPPROACH Our goal at Lane Office is to provide a seamless process that minimizes errors and omissions during the planning and implementation of new furniture acquisitions. By defining four separate stages of a project cycle, we can assure the most qualified resources are available at each step. 1. 2. 3. 4. Project assessment Order preparation Preparation for installation Delivery and installation AWARDED PROJECT 1 PROJECT ASSESSMENT SALES / ADMIN / PROJECT MANAGEMENT Hold meeting: define project scope, critical dates & strategy Prepare product summary from CAD takeoff Check site limitations before order entry, plan time/route accordingly Plan receiving/staging sites and limitations Estimate truckload quantities Assess special handling equipment Define agreeable sequence of events with all parties Prepare installation labor cost worksheet and draft installation strategy Meet with client/owner’s reps to review/foresee possible problems and draft Plan “B” Complete costs and needs for Plan “B” Prepare specifications to support installation strategy Client Service. SM 2 ORDER PREPARATION Verify details of take-off specification Verify tagging Call vendors to reserve manufacturing time, if necessary Reserve fabrics with primary suppliers Reserve delivery schedules & coordinate with labor Arrange for fire code treatment/certification (if required) Create critical dates chart for project tracking Review order for sales/project management approval Notify client of latest change order date for all vendors Notify client of changes required (options, colors, model numbers, dates, etc.) Prepare final vendor purchase orders and client acknowledgements Submit final purchase orders to vendor(s) 3 PREPARATION FOR INSTALLATION Review drawings for accuracy Check vendor acknowledgement with sales and project management Recheck job site for dimensional accuracy with construction managers Review trash removal plan against routing directions per installation plan Any/all revisions to purchase orders completed Re-verify manpower and equipment needs. Reserve resources. Create alternate plan for storage Project management check revised acknowledgement with P.O. (review invoice) Coordinate schedule with contractor, electrician, telephone, elevator reservation Confirm site needs (docks, elevators, etc.) Review current acknowledgement against plans Reconfirm installation schedule Client Service. Burke and Avery Wasoleck purchased Lane Office as Principal Owner and Treasurer respectively. 1993 Lane Office officially becomes a Haworth dealership 2012 1998 Lane Office wins the Condé Nast Publications World Trade Center project. The largest project in NYC and in Burke’s career. Lane Office introduced to Interpublic Group media company, the beginning of a longstanding relationship. 2003 Lane Office officially becomes a Knoll dealership 2006 Lane Office officially begins partnership with DIRTT Environmental Solutions as the sole NYC distributor.
