Adventure Academy for Boys

The Louisiana District Royal Rangers invites all boys ages 8 - 17 to this year’s Adventure Academy.
This one-of-a-kind camp for boys brings excitement, exploration, friendship, and accomplishment
together with spiritual growth to give your young man a week he will never forget. Preparing Leaders of
these boys can also take place during this camp by signing up for the Leadership Training Academy.
Academy offers a unique and unparalleled value for your camp dollar. With certified swimming
instruction, quality on-site meals, trained instructors in a wide variety of interest areas, and a safe, boyfriendly campground facility, you won’t be able to find another camp anywhere at this price offering
such a wide variety of experiences and skills.
With 42 years of previous camp history, the Adventure Academy for boys is constantly upgrading to
make each year’s adventure up-to-date and appropriate for each age/grade level.
Each age-group of boys will form a unique camp with activities no other age-group will experience.
Each year of Academy offers a special adventure for boys at their distinctive developmental stage of
growth. On top of that, the proven spiritual impact that Academy has had on several generations of
young men makes this camp priceless. Many on-fire men of today owe their decision for Christ to an
altar call given at the Adventure Academy. The leadership skills that the Academy develops give a life
time of advantages to boys. Fun activities designed with boys in mind are designed to offer your young
man experiences hard to duplicate in other settings.
The cost for a week of Adventure Academy is $165.00. An $80 deposit with your application will
reserve a space in camp. A camp shirt and hat ($25 value) are included in the total cost. The balance
must be paid by the start of camp June 8th.
Registration will be done on-line line again time this year. Sample Registration forms can be
downloaded from www.larr.org, to give you an idea of what information will be needed when you do the
online registration. Simple click on the Academy Registration banner and follow the instructions to
