The Department of Social Welfare at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs will honor a
member of the alumni community with the Social Welfare Alumnus of the Year Award, named in
honor of Dr. Joseph A. Nunn, alumnus and former vice chair and director of Field Education for
the Department of Social Welfare.
The 2015 Joseph A. Nunn Alumnus of the Year Award will be presented on
Saturday, May 9, 2015
Recipient must be present to receive the award.
Nominations due: March 20, 2015 by 5pm.
You are invited to submit nominations. Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged. Below
are qualifications and activities to consider when making nominations:
Community Service:
Participation in a charitable cause, humanitarian efforts, and
volunteer work. If it is pertinent to employment, demonstrate that
s/he has performed beyond her/his role. Demonstrated efforts to
make positive contributions to the community/society.
Professional Achievement:
Distinguished career accomplishments, promotions, appointments,
activity in agency or professional organizations. (Include license
and state information, if available.)
Public Service:
Volunteer work, government or public service in an unpaid capacity.
University Service:
Volunteering for Social Welfare Department activities, providing
service to the Luskin School of Public Affairs or to UCLA.
