About the speaker
Wendy Mak, Lead Consultant, ResourcePlus Ltd
Wendy has many years solid experience assuming Senior HR Development executive positions
in a number of major local and multinational companies, as well as public organization. Prior to
starting her own consulting business, she was Manager of the Management Development
function for the Hong Kong Bank (Asia Region), Vice President and head of Training for Morgan
Stanley Asia Ltd, and Head of Training and Development for the Hong Kong Hospital Authority.
She is highly experienced in Strategic HR Development, Organizational and Cultural change,
Leadership and Senior Executive development, Core Competency, Performance Management
consulting to help organizations turn around in achieving their organizational objectives.
Wendy has facilitated training and consulted with many renowned multi-national companies
and public organizations including Societe Generale Investment Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland,
UBS Investment Bank, Bank of China, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd, Roche HK Ltd,
Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, Hong Kong Mandatory Provident Scheme Authority, the ICAC,
Cathay Pacific Catering Co Ltd, International Paper(Fortune 100), US Consulate General, Nypro
Inc, Hong Kong Post, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and various Hong Kong government
Departments.
During her capacity as Senior HR Manager at the Hospital Authority (HA), Wendy was
instrumental in implementing a major cultural change intervention – “Patient Centred Care
Program” for the Authority’s 20000+ frontline medical professionals, which gained not only
local reward by the Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) “Excellence in Training
Award”; but also international recognition by the renowned “American Society for Training and
Development for Best Practices”, the first time awarded to an organization outside of the
domestic USA.
She has also obtained Global Renumeration Professional (GRP) Certification (USA), is one of the
few faculty for GRP in Asia.
Wendy holds an MBA from SouthEastern University USA, and speaks fluent Cantonese,
Putonghua and English.
Wendy has presented various workshops and seminars for multinational audiences from US,
UK, France, Switzerland, Italy, Australia, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Vietnam,
Thailand.
