April 9, 2015 Instructional Leader ­ High School Principal Houghton Lake Community Schools is seeking candidates for the position of Instructional Leader­High School Principal. The deadline for applications is April 24, 2015. Qualifications: ∙ State of Michigan Teacher Certification required ∙ Must hold or be eligible for State of Michigan Administrative Certification ∙ Minimum of 5 years teaching experience ∙ Ability to evaluate performance and effectiveness of programs and staff ∙ Knowledge of school improvement planning and process ∙ Ability to establish priorities to meet the needs of students through collaboration with staff and parents ∙ Strong communication and interpersonal skills ∙ Knowledge of staffing and student scheduling process ∙ Ability to provide instructional leadership; curriculum planning and alignment, data analysis ∙ Demonstrates high standards and expectations for students, teachers and staff ∙ Demonstrates successful experience in school leadership and use of technology ∙ Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment ∙ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents and community ∙ Capable of presenting information clearly and concisely (oral and written) Interested parties should submit materials via ​
