King of the Wing - Marion County Building Industry Association

2015 King of the Wing / Prince of Pizza Event
Working in collaboration with the City of Ocala and its Parks Department, the Marion
County Building Industry Association and ARC Marion hosted the 11th Annual King of the
Wing / Prince of Pizza Restaurant Competition at Citizen Circle adjacent the City Hall in
downtown Ocala on Tuesday, March 10th from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. The price of admission
included an ample sampling of the best of the best in chicken wings and most delectable
pizza served by some of the area's best restaurants. Ticket holders were tempted to wash
it all down will plenty of cold refreshments (cold beer for the adults) and soft beverages for
the kids. This event will include a Kids Zone, where youngsters of all ages enjoyed games
(age level appropriate), face painting, games of competition, and plenty of kid friendly
snacks including popcorn, funnel cakes and lots of kid appropriate door prizes. Everyone
who attended came prepared to have fun and make this an event for the whole family!
The King of the Wing / Prince of Pizza Competition is a signature event of the Marion
County Building Industry Association of Ocala, Inc. The purpose of this fun filled annual
event is to raise funds, a significant portion of which is earmarked by our building
association for donation to a specific local charity that closely shares our vision to assist
those people whose situation places them at greatest risk. For 2015, the MCBIA has
chosen ARC Marion as the 2015 Charitable Partner. Tickets ($20 for adults and $15 for
kids 5 to15) were sold online at www.mcbia.org or could be purchased at the offices of
ARC Marion located at 2800 SE Maricamp Road - Phone: (352) 387-2210 Hours:
Monday-Friday 8:00AM to 4:00PM.
While attendees and their family’s enjoyed the food, entertainment, games for kids, there
was an equal amount of comfortable socializing with friends, family and new
acquaintances at this event. Thanks to our supporting ticket holders, we all showed our
support for a very worthy charitable organization, ARC Marion.
