Maximum song length is 3-­‐4 minutes. 2.
The Youth Music Competition is a solo competition. Duets, trios, etc., are not permitted. 3.
Pre-­‐recorded accompaniment is not allowed. Performers must have either live accompaniment or be unaccompanied. Competitors are strongly encouraged to arrange for accompaniment. 4.
Bring five photocopies of the music you will perform to your audition. The copies will be destroyed after your performance. 5.
Attach to your application a short biography of 100 words or less, including whether the student applicant is part of a performing group in school or in the community. 6.
A student can win only ONCE in any level. Once they win in a level, they must wait until they are in the next level to compete again. 7.
A student may not compete the year immediately following their win, even if they switch levels. Ex: student winning in the last year of middle school eligibility may not compete in the high school level the following year.
