Practice & Nursing Research
Conference presented by MUSC
Health’s Nurse Alliance EvidenceBased Practice and Research
Council in collaboration with the
Center for Evidence-Based
Practice will be held on May 1 & 2,
2015 on the campus of the
Medical University of South
Carolina in beautiful Charleston,
South Carolina.
The conference will focus on
building the foundation for
generating and integrating
research into clinical practice.
Objectives:
Participants will be able to
 Describe the relationship
between evidence-based
practice and research.
 Identify the knowledge and
skills required to integrate
clinical inquiry into their
professional practice.
The Nursing Professional Development
Department of MUSC Health is an approved
provider of nursing continuing education by the
South Carolina Nurses Association, an
accredited provider by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center's Commission on
Accreditation.
Call for Poster Abstracts
We invite proposals to present:
 Integrative literature reviews that
focus on clinical practice issues
 Strategies for implementation of
evidence-based practice changes
 Evaluation of evidence-based
practice changes
 Innovative research
designs/methodologies
 Results of clinical research
projects
Poster abstracts must adhere to
established format and submission
guidelines. For more information and

Abstracts are due by April 1, 2015.
After a blind peer review, the primary
contact will be notified of the planning
committee’s decision by April 10,
2015. Poster presenters will be
expected to register for and attend
the conference.
