APPLICATION GUIDANCE
ADMISSION OF MEMBERS
The club constitution requires applicants for membership to be proposed and seconded by members with
voting rights (typically Full/Life or the now closed category of OAP 7 day members). Melrose Golf Club
welcomes all applications for membership. Should you be new to the area or for any reason have difficulty
providing a proposer or seconder tick the appropriate line overleaf and a member of committee will endeavour
to help. Don’t forget to give your contact details!
On approval, payment of the subscription or the prescribed instalment must be made within one month from
the date of admission or your membership may be declared void. On admission, all members are bound by
the rules of the club and are deemed to have read and to abide by the Club Constitution which is posted on
the clubhouse corridor wall. Particular attention is drawn to the terms of subscription payment and timing of
resignations. We hope you enjoy your membership; should you have any questions about the constitution or
rules please don’t hesitate to ask and someone from the Committee will help.
