The O’Hara Lecture in Law and Politics Defending America in the Age of Mass Incarceration Dawn Porter’s 2014 documentary, Gideon’s Army, featured three black public defenders working in the American South. It premiered on HBO and won the Ridenhour Award for best documentary film. Her second film project, Spies of Mississippi, debuted on PBS in 2014.
