On February 27th, 2010, our good friend and teammate
Michael “Jonesy” Jones was critically injured while playing
in a rugby tournament, leaving him paralyzed from the neck
down. Mike has made significant strides since his injury but
will always face the lifelong medical and financial burdens
this type of paralysis injury creates.

The Jonesy Open has been created to help Mike and his
family meet these challenges, as he continuously pushes
himself to further his recovery. The Jones Family and the
entire Albany Knickerbocker Rugby Club would like to thank
