Permission has been granted by the PGA of America to allow Sections to cross the borders and arrive in Mayetta, Kansas (15 miles North) of Topeka, Kansas to participate, as well as claim The Cup. Besides all of the golf, gambling, storytelling, food, and beverages – there is The Cup on the line - District 7 vs. 8. Here are the pairings / matches for each day: Tuesday o Midwest vs. Iowa o Gateway vs. Nebraska o South Central vs. Minnesota Wednesday o Midwest vs. Nebraska o Gateway vs. Minnesota o South Central vs. Iowa Scoring for The Cup: (1) point (1) point (1) point Ties are ½ per Per (9) Holes / per match / (3) points Front 9 Back 9 Total – 18 holes The district with the most points wins The Cup. The Prairie Cup trophy shall remain at Firekeeper Golf Course and proudly displayed year round with the winning District / Sections inscribed on. The Cup may stay in Mayetta, Kansas, but I am sure the “smack talk” – bragging rights will travel worldwide.
