community music festival is set in

Mitchell.
The town Garage Sale day was set
at the last meeting for the 23rd of
May.

children under 10 FREE!

On Saturday April 18th, Help clean
up our parks and riverbanks for
Earth Day! Rural residents are
encouraged to clean along their
concessions and along rivers and
streams, then join us for lunch at
the Mitchell Lion’s Park Pavilion.
The goal of the Mitchell BIA is to
support local business economics
in West Perth, and to support the
community through free
advertising and being the hot spot
of reasons to shop, live, eat, and
entertain in West Perth!

Skyline Studios offers high quality music lessons as its primary service to
Mitchell and area. Skyline Studios also offers wedding and event DJ
services, music recording services and videography for music videos and
commercials.
Owner Dustin Smith has been offering lessons in acoustic and electric
guitar, drums, bass, vocals and piano since 2012. Originally offering lessons
from his home business Dustin opened his first downtown location in
September of 2012 and has since relocated to a more central location this
January. Raised in Mitchell, Dustin grew up to love music, and is a graduate
from the Independent Musician Production at Seneca.
His parents own Deep Waters Music for eight year, which has since moved
to its current location in St. Marys from Mitchell in 2010. Mitchell had a
void to be filled so when Dustin was looking open up his business it was a
obvious this great community with life long friendships, Mitchell was going
to become home for Skyline Studios.
Dustin was approached by Viola Tyler to join the BIA during Skyline’s first
year of operation and feels that the BIA is a beneficial component to the
Mitchell’s business community and helps downtown businesses owners
work together.
Currently Skyline Studios has between 75-80 active students ranging in age
from young children to adults. Dustin believes in encouraging his students
to perform in town at events throughout the year so they can become more
confident in their musical abilities and engage with the community. Stay
posted in June for the Skyline Studios student showcase to exhibit his
student’s musical talents. The date and location will be announced later this
month.
As Skyline Studio continues to grow into its new location on 46 Ontario
Road, Dustin also performs in his band Reignfall throughout southern
Ontario. Their next show will be playing at Trapper’s fundraiser show to
tour with Def Leopard this coming Saturday at 7:30pm at the Army & Navy
on April 11th.
