EXHIBITORS INVITATION TO THE UGANDA’S FIRST MATERNAL AND NEWBORN CONFERENCE The Makerere University College of Health Sciences, School of Public Health (MakSPH) with support from Save the Children and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Ministry of Health and other partners is organizing a Uganda Maternal and Newborn Conference scheduled for 15th-17th June 2015 at the Kampala Serena Hotel starting at 8.00a.m to 5.00 p.m. 1. 2. 3. 4. The conference theme is ‘Moving from Policy to practice: Saving Mothers and Newborns at National and Local level.’ The overall conference goal is to identify key steps required to make progress towards Uganda’s maternal and newborn health targets. Specifically, the conference will: Review progress for maternal and newborn health in Uganda Provide updates and contextualize the post MDG agenda for maternal and newborn health in Uganda To share lessons learnt in implementing maternal and newborn health policies and programs in Uganda. Identify context-specific research priorities This conference will be attended by researchers, implementers, policy makers, academicians, Africa regional and global maternal and newborn experts. The purpose of this letter is to therefore invite you to exhibit at this conference. Exhibition fee is $100 or an equivalent in Uganda shillings per day.
