The destination is A Renewed Sense of Self and Your Potential. Come enjoy inspired thinking, new ideas, new understandings, and a personal sense of purpose and destiny. Storyteller David Novak* and Reverend Roy Reynolds**, our keynote presenters, will take us to the worlds of visionary architect R. Buckminster Fuller, and British naturalists Alan Rayner and Giles Hutchins. Our voyage will dive into the Deep Within and venture to the Deep Without, all from the overlook of The Mountain, in Highlands, NC. Our itinerary offers abundant elements for the journey: Outstanding Food, Compelling Activities (hiking, social hours, dancing, star gazing), Entertainment, Workshops (exercise/movement, modeling geometry, wine tasting, drumming, companioning circles, etc.), Shared Community with Shipmates, and Exceptional Crew, and that Alluring Destination. Our keynoters will balance the cerebral with the sensual, the soulful with the inspirational. Roy Reynolds ([email protected]): Awarded Circle of Excellence by the National Storytelling Network. Veteran performer at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, TN. International performances: Czech Children’s’ Theatre Festival, schools throughout China, and R. Buckminster Fuller show at Bratislava Institute of Technology, Wroclaw, Poland. Creative career highlight: Startup of The Disney Institute. Currently Moderator for the Electric Universe Conference of Scientists and Cosmologists. Living in Asheville, he’s a very active UU and strong supporter of The Mountain. Served for 26 years as Unitarian Universalist (UU) minister in GA, SC, MS, AL, and PA. Retired and living in Atlanta, Roy integrates experiences as a designer, planner, adjunct professor, and minister in the process of developing and piloting Companioning Circles with the goal of centering people of liberal faith in mutual presence and spiritual wisdom. Roy envisions that his work will help us deepen our relational lives as we help humanity build the beloved community.
