Cable Power Enclosure
Model: CTEG8-240MB
Eight Battery Ground Mount Enclosure w Meter Base, 240VAC
Quick Reference Guide
Safety
Only trained service personnel should install and maintain the power enclosure and electronics.
Any modifications to this unit not expressly approved by Myers Power Products could void the warranty.
Failure to observe these warnings may result in serious injury, death or damage to the equipment.
This is a “quick reference” only. Detailed instructions are available by contacting a Myers representative.
Unpacking
Unpack the enclosure upon receipt. Notify the carrier if there is any damage.
Check the package contents. The package contains the enclosure, battery cables, connectors and associated
hardware, and this product documentation.
Installing the enclosure
Install a preformed or pour a concrete pad according to best industry practice.
If installing the enclosure on the matching Myers pre-formed pad, place the enclosure on the pad. Align
the bolt holes in the enclosure base to the anchor hooks on the pad. Fasten the enclosure to the pad
using the appropriate hardware.
Wiring the enclosure
Install and interconnect ground rods appropriate for proper grounding
according to local engineering and electrical code requirements.
Typically, the local AC utility will connect the AC line to the Meter Base.
As the enclosure is pre-wired, no additional wiring should be required.
A licensed electrician must make any AC wiring changes that may need to
be made.
Installing the Coax Cable
Remove the coax housing raceway by removing the coax raceway fastener from inside the enclosure.
Route the coax from the pad to one of the coax bushings. A 90 degree pin-connector will be required to
terminate the cable. The pin-connector will fasten to the coax bushing with the pin entering the enclosure.
After securely tightening all connections, replace and secure the coax raceway to the enclosure.

Installing the Power Supply
Place and assemble the cable power supply onto the top internal shelf of the enclosure.
Attach and fasten the Euro-block terminated wire exiting the EIO assembly to the coax cable
pin connector.
Euro-block
EIO
With the enclosure AC breakers OFF, install the AC line cord to the power supply and appropriate
AC outlet on the EIO assembly. Plug the EIO cable that is terminated the large gray connector into
the output of the power supply.
Installing the Batteries
Before installing any batteries, ensure that the battery breaker on the Electronic/Inverter module is OFF.
There are a number of ways to place and connect batteries in this enclosure. A suggested layout is below.
Connect the batteries as shown below. Physical battery placement may differ. Regardless of connection
style, it is recommended that the thermal probe be connected to positive terminal of Battery #2 of String A.
Powering Up the System
Turn on the AC and battery breakers and power up the power supply. Ensure proper power supply operation.
