All items are sold as seen unless specified.
It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to check Lots prior to purchase.
We STRONGLY recommend you view all items before auction.
The hammer price is the NET PRICE, you will need to pay 15% Auctioneers Fees
and Value Added Tax on the commission to give you the total to pay for the item.
A €50 bidding deposit is required prior to the commencement of the auction to
purchase Lots with Naas Auction Room. All bidders must complete a bidding form
giving full name, address and contact number. Once this is completed and
bidding deposit paid you will receive a bidding card enabling you to bid on an
item.
Your deposit is fully refundable on return of your receipt to our sales office if you
have not purchased on the day.
We regret to inform you that cheques are not accepted under ANY circumstances.
Bidding at Auction
If you wish to bid on an item this is done by raising your bidding number while the
auctioneer is selling the item. The auctioneer will then acknowledge your bid. If
you are the last highest bidder the hammer will fall to you, your bidding number
taken note of and you then own the lot.
Some items may be sold with a reserve price. Once the reserve price is reached
the auctioneer will sell as normal to the highest bidder. If the highest bid is less
than the reserve price the auctioneer may sell the item provisionally and this is
then subject to the seller agreeing to the bid. This is then known as a Private
Treaty Sale.
A successful bid on an item at the fall of the hammer indicates you are agreeing
with the terms and conditions of Naas Auction Room.
Your deposit will go against the item you have purchased.
Collection of items starts from 11am – 6pm Saturday 4th April and 11am – 4pm
Sunday 5th April.
All items purchased at the Auction must be paid for and collected by 4PM on
Sunday 5th April. The warehouse will close on that date and no provision can be
made for later collections. Failure to collect purchases by this date and time will
mean that the deposit is forfeited.
Payment for all items purchased at the auction must be made by Cash. STRICTLY
NO CHEQUES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
These conditions printed in the catalogue are the only terms and conditions subject to which Naas
Auction Rooms (the auctioneer) as agents for the vendor will sell by auction goods to a purchaser and
other conditions and warranties whether expressed or implied (as are capable of lawful exclusion) are
hereby excluded.
Buyers are advised to inspect the lots to their own satisfaction before the auction. On the fall of the gavel
ALL GOODS ARE SOLD WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY or description as to the condition and with all
faults and imperfections.
Naas Auction Room acts in the sale of a lot as agent only and is not responsible for any default by either
the Purchaser or the Vendor. Naas Auction Room shall not be liable in any way whatsoever regarding
such a contract and the Vendor and the Purchaser shall have no rights of action except as against each
other concerning any matter arising from the sale of or legal ownership in the said lot.
Naas Auction Room reserves the right to refuse to accept any item in its auction or sale.
All items are offered for sale subject to any reserve price set by the Vendor. The highest bidder shall be
the Purchaser (in excess of the reserve) and in the event of dispute the Auctioneer shall have absolute
discretion to settle it or to re-offer the lot and the Auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding. The
Auctioneer may regulate the bidding refuse any bid and withdraw any lot without previous notice. The
Auctioneer may bid on the Vendor’s behalf of any lot offered either with a reserve or subject to the
Auctioneer’s discretion. Each lot entered and accepted shall be auctioned individually and specifically
and bids shall not be accepted for more than one lot at a time.
The vendor, auctioneer, any employee or agent shall be liable for any loss or damage suffered by the
buying arising out of or in connection with any defects or deficiencies in any lots purchased, errors or
description in the auction catalogue, any misstatements regarding any matter affecting the lots or failure
of the lots to fulfil the functions for which they were intended.
No persons in the employment of the Auctioneer, vendor, Auctioneer or agents have any authority to
make or give any representation or warranty regarding any lots.
Each buyer will be asked to register their name and address at the sales office and place a deposit in
order to apply for a bidding number to purchase a lot.
The highest bidder at the fall of the hammer shall be the buyer of that lot provided the reserve price is
reached.
No bid may be withdrawn after the fall of the hammer.
The vendor or Auctioneer may withdraw, consolidate or divide any lot at any given time.
Payment in full must be made to the Auctioneer before removing any lots from the location.
Naas Auction Room nor the vendor WILL NOT accept any responsibility for any accident, resulting in
death, injury or damage, which does not arise out of their negligence, caused to any person whilst on Naas
Auction Room or Vendor’s premises before, during or after the sale.
ANY person entering the premises does so at his/her own risk. All Children must be supervised at all
times.
Naas Auction Room acts only as an agent for the vendor and will not be held responsible for any action or
default on the part of the vendor or buyer.
The Auctioneer shall not be liable to pay the Vendor until payment is received from the Purchaser in full
and if the Purchaser fails to make such payment the Auctioneer reserves the right to rescind the contract
on behalf of the Vendor but without any prejudice to any claim that the Vendor may have against the
Purchaser for damages otherwise.
